Beijing offers so many things to see and do you may not cover all of them in one visit. You will see such wonders as the Long Corridor, which is a covered wooden promenade that stretches for 700 m?s along the North Shore of Kunming Lake.  You will find the smell of incense in Baiyun Guan, an authentic place dating back to 739 and is the most attractive of Beijing's temples.  Here you will see blue frocked monks dressed in a traditional manner.  One notable structure here is a large cushion-filled hall in the third courtyard, originally built in 1220, but is now used for teaching and ceremonies. 

Visit the wonderful and beautiful Yonghe Gong (Lama Temple), which is a complex of larger buildings that were built in 1694 and originally belonged to the Qing Prince who later became emperor.  Here you will see the Hall of The Wheel of Law, which contains a bronze statue of Tsongkapa, the founder of the reformist yellow hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism.  You cannot go to Beijing and not see the Forbidden City. It is the largest and most intricate palace in China and receives more visitors than any other attraction in this country.  This is a universal excepted symbol for the grandeur of the Chinese civilization.  Visit the beautiful Tiananmen Square that is the size of 90 American football fields. It is surrounded by the Forbidden City in north and the Great Hall of the People in the West, where you will find museums of Chinese history and the Chinese Revolution.  This is only a small part of what Beijing has to offer anyone that enters its borders.  You are in for a time of your life that will be unforgettable.

Nightlife in Beijing

There are many things you can choose from with what Beijing has to offer after the sun goes down .You can visit such places as the Beijing Jazz Club, a cozy place and the best place to see Jazz in Beijing. Here you will see live performances taking place on a small velvet-backed stage.  You can also visit the Teahouse of Prince Gongs Mansion, which is not a traditional opera venue, but nevertheless is beautiful to see, and includes a guided tour.  There are many clubs that hold the music scene so that you will have the time of your life exploring this part of Beijing.

Shopping in Beijing

Beijing offers a fine array of shops, where you can buy many types of products, such as antique stores that hold treasures that you will find nowhere else in the world. You will find arts and crafts stores that will amaze you and there are shopping malls and shopping centers that you can explore.  There are markets that you can browse through, department stores, sporting goods stores and a host of other possibilities.  This is a city that has everything for everyone and more.
