To view it properly you'd need to rent a car in Iceland. Even then you can't traverse every square foot as over 80 percent of the land is unpopulated and covered either with permanent snow and ice fields (glaciers) or has a volcanic surface.  To get near these though you often need to take a guided tour of Iceland or rent a car.

Iceland is one of the world's smaller nations with a population of about 265,000.
